Premium Ceylon Black Tea-100 Tea Bags With Tag
Description
Tasting Note & Distinctive Features
Grown in the misty central highlands of Sri Lanka, this Ceylon black tea brews into a bright amber cup with a brisk, full-bodied character. Expect a malty, slightly citrusy edge that softens into a smooth, lingering finish — equally good with milk or taken plain.
Unlike blended "Ceylon" teas made from leaves sourced across several countries, this tea is single-origin: picked, withered, and packed at source in Sri Lanka, with nothing added and nothing blended in. It's the same everyday cup founder Merrill J. Fernando set out to protect in 1985, when he refused to let Ceylon tea leave the island unbranded and unpacked for others to relabel.
Why single-origin matters: most "Ceylon tea" on shelves is a blend — leaves from Sri Lanka mixed with tea from other countries, then packed abroad. Dilmah packs at the source, so what's in the bag is exactly what came off the bush.
